The Nautilus Military Base

The Nautilus is a coastal defense military base disguised as an aquarium to covertly monitor for enemy boats in public locations.
The main layout of the base takes inspiration from the shape of a Nautilus, a snail-like aquatic animal. This was in an attempt to create an interesting asymmetrical layout that was identifiable as a sea creature.
The project was tied to a brief of creating "an architectural concept of the exterior of a military base disguised as an aquarium in a 3/4 view with the intent of being handed off to a 3D modeller".
The most difficult part was trying to break my habit of making modern militaristic buildings rigid and trying to push to be more stylized to fit with the more whimsical theme.
